Vega Bluegrass Wonder 5-String Banjo - STILL AVAILABLE!

The Bluegrass Wonder banjo is a bluegrass style banjo, with a sweetness and purity of tone that gives both the professional and beginning banjoist a fabulous sounding banjo that is lightweight, fast, and easy to play. Using the stained rock maple neck and three-ply high quality maple rim from the popular Vega Little Wonder, Deering created a special resonator with a traditional 24-piece flange to facilitate the strong projection demanded by bluegrass musicians around the world. If you want strong tone with light weight, this banjo is ideal for you.

The sound of this banjo is ideal for old-time and bluegrass music, both finger style and clawhammer, folk, classical, civil war era, ragtime, and for classic turn of the century parlor music. (Nylon or gut string banjoists will find the response and character of this banjo appropriate for their styles, too.) It is also a perfect choice for any player who wants a powerful, versatile banjo that is not too heavy. (Try this one with a few bluegrass licks and you'll see what we mean by versatile.)

This lovely instrument was generously donated by the Deering Banjo Company.
Nov, 22, 2009: CURRENT HIGH BID IS
995,00.

Capek Bluegrass Banjo: President

The President model banjo is ornamented with intricate designs. The ebony peghead is inlaid with natural white pearl and framed with a white border. The banjo has the neck and the resonator made from curly maple, a 3-ply maple wood ring and ebony fingerboard. The banjo has a richly inlaid border and folded wood line on its side. The tone ring is cast from a bell-bronze alloy.
The President is the more luxurious Capek model. This top class instrument is very popular and one of the favorites among banjo players.

This beautiful banjo was generously donated to EWOB by Capek Handmade Bluegrass & Jazz Instruments.
